1. Agreeing to these terms

By downloading, opening or using HustleBoard — the iPhone app, the web app, or this website — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

You need to be at least 13 years old to use HustleBoard, and old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. HustleBoard is a tool for adults running a business, and it is not directed at children.

2. Your licence to use HustleBoard

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use HustleBoard on devices you own or control, for your own personal and business record-keeping.

You may not:

• sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app;
• copy, modify or create another product from it;
• reverse-engineer or decompile it, except where the law says you may;
• remove any copyright or ownership notice from it.

HustleBoard, its name, its icon and its code belong to us. This licence doesn't transfer any ownership. The information you enter belongs to you, not to us — see section 4.

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with this page, Apple's terms win for anything to do with the App Store, and these terms cover everything else. Apple is not a party to this agreement, is not responsible for the app, and has no obligation to provide support for it.

3. What HustleBoard is — and what it is not

HustleBoard is a record-keeping and educational tool. You type in what happened in your businesses and your personal finances; the app organises it, does the arithmetic and shows you general educational information about how credit cards report balances. It does not connect to your bank or card accounts, and it does not move money.

Nothing in HustleBoard is financial, credit-repair, investment, legal or tax advice. We are not your accountant, your financial adviser, your lawyer or a credit-repair organisation, and using the app does not create any of those relationships. Decisions about your money are yours. For advice about your own situation, talk to a qualified professional.

Every number HustleBoard shows is calculated from what you typed. If a date, a balance or a credit limit is wrong or out of date, the result will be wrong too. Always confirm dates, balances and policies with your card issuer, your bank and your own records before you act on anything the app says.

4. Your data and your backups

What you enter into HustleBoard is yours. It is stored on your own device and is not sent to us — see the Privacy Policy.

That also means your backups are your responsibility. If you delete the app, lose or reset the device, or clear your browser's site data, the information goes with it and we cannot restore it — we never had a copy. Use Settings → Data & Backup → Export backup regularly and keep the file somewhere safe.

5. Using it fairly

Use HustleBoard for lawful record-keeping. Don't use it to store other people's financial information without their knowledge, to break any law, or to interfere with the app's or this website's operation.

6. HustleBoard Pro, subscriptions and billing

HustleBoard is free to use. HustleBoard Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks unlimited hustles, unlimited inventory and price-book entries, advanced reports, and no ads.

The Credit Coach, bills, your wishlist, Face ID lock and backups of your own data are free for everyone — Pro or not — and we don't intend to change that.

Plans and prices

• Yearly — $39.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial (about $3.33 per month).
• Monthly — $5.99 per month, billed every month.
• Lifetime — $89.99 once, a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Prices are in US dollars and apply to the United States App Store. The price, the billing period and any trial are always shown in the app before you confirm a purchase, and that screen is what governs — if anything here ever differs from it, the purchase screen is correct. We may change prices for future purchases and renewals; existing subscribers are told before a change takes effect.

How billing works

Yearly and monthly plans renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and again within 24 hours before each period ends unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before then. Manage or cancel any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. If you start a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy a plan. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't refund the period you're already in, and Pro stays on until that period ends. We can't cancel a subscription for you — Apple handles the billing, so the cancel switch lives in your iOS Settings.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, through reportaproblem.apple.com. If something has gone wrong, email us anyway and we'll help you sort it out.

The web app doesn't sell anything. Pro is bought in the iPhone app, and a Pro purchase applies to the Apple Account that bought it.

7. No warranty

HustleBoard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every calculation, date or reminder will be correct. Reminders depend on your device's notification settings and on iOS, and can be delayed or missed for reasons outside our control. Check anything important against your issuer, your bank and your own records.

Some places don't allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HustleBoard and anyone working on it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost savings, missed payments, fees, interest, penalties, credit-score effects, tax outcomes or lost data, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app or this website.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for HustleBoard in the 12 months before the claim, or twenty US dollars ($20).

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

9. Changes and ending this agreement

We may update the app and these terms. When these terms change, the date at the top changes; if the change is significant, we'll say so in the app. Carrying on using HustleBoard after a change means you accept the new terms.

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may end it if you break these terms. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8 and 10 keep applying afterwards.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [YOUR STATE], and you and we agree to those courts hearing it. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this doesn't take that right away.
